About Me

Owner & lead planner of Mackenzie James. From a young age I learned the importance of being a good host, the small details and of course a good party! All of these led to an interest in event planning. I started planning fundraising events and galas for non-profits. However, having spent years working for florists, catering companies and wedding venues, I quickly fell in love with weddings. Eventually, I took the leap and started Mackenzie James! Being a part of a couple’s love story is the best job ever! I can’t wait to make your dream day come true!  

When I’m not working, you can find me hanging out with my husband, our dog & two cats, playing volleyball, fundraising for animal rescues and exploring everything that Minnesota has to offer.
